A zombie musical that’s remarkably charming in its own quirky way, complete with a musical comedy small town, insufferably cute high school kids who constantly burst into song… and a swarm of flesh-eating corpses that won’t stay dead. Try it. You just might like it.

Blood Quantum (2019)
The only zombie apocalypse movie we know set inside the First Nations — specifically in the devastated Mi’kmaq reservation that survives because Native Americans seem to be immune to the zombie virus. An overlooked but damn good — and very grim — film.

Cockneys vs Zombie (2012)
There’s no reason this should be so funny, engaging, and even exciting, but it is. There’s a mad exuberance about old folks blasting away at the undead while the hapless younger generation can barely keep up. A truly underrated cult classic.
